Fairfield Wins Safety, Top Driver Awards
Charlie "T-Bone" Blake of Pine Bluff was selected by the
Arkansas Trucking Association as Driver of the Year at the May
11th association awards luncheon help in Little Rock,
Arkansas.
Charlie has been an owner operator for Fairfield since June of
1983. In his almost 24 years with the company, he has driven
over two million accident-free miles. Charlie is well
respected by his fellow truckers and began his driving career
at age 20 in a Ford tractor for Mayflower Moving and Storage.
He has logged over five million accident free miles during his
career.
He has been married for nearly 44 years to Mae Liza and they
have five children, 19 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren. When he isn't trucking, he can be found
surrounded by his close-knit family.
"Fairfield loves and appreciates Charlie for his hard work
and dedication," said a company spokesman. "He is an
excellent example of what Fairfield most appreciates in
